PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation assist device for display panels which assists in efficiently install a display panel on a wall surface. SOLUTION: An installation assist device 1 for display panels includes a holding member 2 configured so as to be able to hold a display panel 7 while allowing an attachment face 70 placed on the rear side of the display panel 7 to face the wall surface, moving wheels 51 and 52 for allowing the installation assist device 1 to move, a supporting part 3 for supporting the holding member 2, and an elevating means for elevating the supporting part 3. The supporting part 3 includes a rotation mechanism 30 which allows the holding ember 2 to rotate so that vertical installation and horizontal installation of the display panel 7 can be switched.
