The valve has a valve ball (14) arranged in a two-piece housing (12), and moving between passage and locking positions back and forth by an adjustment device (30). A metallic ball body (38) is formed with a throughhole (40), where a tubing case (42) of wear-resistant ceramic material is fastened in the throughhole. Housing parts (16, 18) include flange sleeves (48) of wear resistant ceramic material, where the sleeves and the case possess same thin inner dimensions. The case is made of aluminum oxide-ceramic material. The adjustment device is connected with the body in a form-fit manner.
