PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cartridge preventing falling off of a leader pin even if receiving a drop shock, and preventing deformation of a spring arm by preventing the leader pin from being raised while having high reliability in data recording and reproduction. SOLUTION: A main case of the recording tape cartridge comprises one reel and, a tape outlet 4 opened for draw the leader pin. A holding mechanism 6 which keeps the leader pin standing is provided in the main part case, and a tip part 63 of the spring arm of the holding mechanism 6 is projected toward the center of the thickness direction of the main part case rather than a shaft section of the leader pin.
