A call forwarding method in a portable terminal is provided to improve the convenience of users by enabling a user to confirm the caller information of a call received to his portable terminal through his portable terminal even though his portable terminal is in call forwarding mode. If the user of a first portable terminal selects and appoints a second portable terminal for call forwarding(S301), the first portable terminal transmits information about the second portable terminal to a service server and makes a call forwarding service request(S303). Receiving the call forwarding service request information, the service server searches for the second portable terminal(S305), and transmits call forwarding request information to the second portable terminal(S307). Confirming the call forwarding request information, the second portable terminal transmits call forwarding request admission information to the service server(S309,S311). The service server delivers the call forwarding request admission information to the first portable terminal(S313). Then the service server checks whether a call is received to the first portable terminal(S317). If a call is received to the first portable terminal, the service server forwards the call to the second portable terminal(S321). Then the service server transmits call reception information, or the caller information of the received call, to the first portable terminal(S323). |
