PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a very low-cost bird damage preventing device, that readily enables installation without having to use a high-altitude working vehicle, in the bird damage-preventing device in which a fine wire is stretched above a cable. SOLUTION: In the bird damage-preventing device 20 in which a fine wire is stretched above a cable 16, a supporting member 24 for supporting at least both ends of a fine wire 22 in a state separated above the cable 16 and a fine wire-joining member 30 fixed in a half-way part of the fine wire 22 are provided, and the fine wire-joining member 30 has a loop shape for inserting the cable 16 and is slidable to the cable 16.
