PURPOSE:To provide the title laser beam machine remarkably extending the nozzle life by reducing the deformation of the tip of the nozzle by forming the external surface of the tip at least of the nozzle projecting an assist gas, etc. by a high melting point material. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle 7 projecting an assist gas or shield gas is formed with the high melting point material of Mo or W, etc. in the laser beam machine. The breakdown of the nozzle 7 tip is extremely reduced and the shape variation can be eliminated even for the failure in the piercing and cutting at the cutting time of a work 8 or even for the spattering, etc., at the welding time of the work 8 and the life of the nozzle 7 is therefore extended widely. The nozzle 7 may be formed by covering with the high melting point material 7b of Mo or W, etc., the tip outer peripheral face and the tip face of the nozzle 7a made of copper or copper alloy as shown in the figure. In this way, sufficient proof strength is obtd. against the splash of a molten metal and yet the heat conduction can be bettered. |
