PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc brake capable of being easily and precisely machined to be smoothed, resulting in improved productivity. SOLUTION: The disc brake comprises cylinder parts 20, 21 arranged opposing each other across a brake disc, and a caliper 11 having bridge portions 22A, 22C for connecting the cylinder parts 20, 21 to each other astride the radial outside of the brake disc. The caliper 11 has a boss portion 34 protruded in a columnar shape, and a mounting hole 35 passing through the boss portion 34 is formed perpendicular to the rotation axis of the brake disc. The boss portion 34 is laid on a supporting portion on a vehicle body side, and a bolt is inserted through the mounting hole 35 to fasten and fix the caliper 11. Between a seat surface 37 of the boss portion 34 on which the head of the bolt abuts and each of the bridge portions 22A, 22C, recesses 38 are provided which are recessed from the seat surface 37.
