VIBRATION ACTUATOR AND METHOD OF DRIVING THE SAME

A vibration actuator comprises a rotor, a vibrator, a pre-pressurizing means for pressing the rotor onto the vibrator, and a drive circuit for rotating the rotor around at least one rotary shaft by generating vibration in the vibrator. The drive circuit drives the vibrator with use of the frequency set for each rotary shaft according to the resonance frequencies in at least two directions necessary for rotating the rotor as the drive frequency for the rotary shaft.
