PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pyrolyzing furnace shaft sealing device capable of following thermal deformation caused by the thermal expansion of a rotating drum in heating and pyrolyzing a treated material such as waste enclosed in the rotating drum and stably maintaining sealing performance for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The pyrolyzing furnace shaft sealing device 2 comprises a rotating seal plate 34 connected to the rotating drum 11 side and having an axial cylinder 34b, and a fixed seal plate 35 provided on the outlet hood 29 side and having a radial disk part 35a. The device 2 also comprises an end face seal 36 arranged between the rotating seal plate and the fixed seal plate and provided in a slidable manner at the rotating seal plate, and a radial seal 37 arranged radially outward from the end face seal and provided in a slidable manner at the axial cylinder part 34b of the rotating seal plate.
