A washing machine is provided to match the position of an encoder to the positions of a plurality of light emitting elements by installing the encoder in a through hole at the state that the encoder is placed on a predetermined location of a guide bracket. A washing machine comprises a control panel(15), a rotary switch(19), a dial knob(16), an encoder(18), a plurality of light emitting elements(20), a guide bracket(21), and a positioning rib(21d). The positioning ribs are formed on the guide bracket and support the encoder in order to install the encoder to a through hole(15a) of the control panel at the state that the encoder is placed on a predetermined location of the guide bracket. The positioning ribs are separated from each others around a shaft installation unit(21a), where a shaft of the rotary switch is installed. |
