<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water and dust from intruding into a bearing device while keeping internal force of a bearing constant. <P>SOLUTION: This bearing device for the railroad vehicle axle has an inner ring 42 fitted into the axle 10, an outer ring 44 attached to an axle box, rolling bodies 46 provided between a raceway track of the inner ring 42 and a raceway track of the outer ring 44, and a cage 48 for holding the rolling bodies at a predetermined interval. Sealing devices 50A, 50B of light contact type are arranged in opening parts at both ends of the outer ring 44. A vent 66 for letting air escape from the inside of the bearing to the outside of it is provided in the sealing device 50B on an end side of the axle 10, and a vent 66 for taking air into the inside of the bearing from the outside of it is provided in the sealing device 50A on an anti-end side of the axle 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
