PICTURE QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROCESSING METHOD AND PROGRAM CORRESPONDING TO TWO OR MORE REGIONS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture quality improvement method corresponding to a plurality regions for performing picture quality improvement processing for simultaneously displaying a plurality of regions under consideration whose image quality has been improved and an entire reference image without causing any unnatural edge in the boundary of the regions under consideration when a plurality of regions under consideration are set in the reference image.

SOLUTION: This picture quality improvement processing method corresponding to the plurality of regions for generating a picture quality-improved image from a plurality of observation images including positional deviation includes: a step for extracting a plurality of regions under consideration with respect to the reference image selected from the plurality of observation images; a step for performing positioning processing to the extracted plurality of regions under consideration for each region under consideration; and a step for generating a picture quality-improved image by performing picture quality improvement processing by simultaneously using the pixel value data of the plurality of regions under consideration whose positioning processing has been performed and the pixel value data of the reference image.
