PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejector not ejecting liquid in a liquid channel when a liquid storage means is removed from the liquid channel. SOLUTION: The liquid ejector supplies liquid stored in a liquid storage means 15 to a liquid ejection head through a liquid channel 16 and ejects the liquid from the liquid ejection head, and the liquid storage means 15 is attached removably to the liquid channel 16. The liquid ejector comprises a channel blocking means 25 displaced between positions for blocking and not blocking the liquid channel 16, and a displacement means 26 interlocked with the operation for removing the liquid storage means 15 from the liquid channel 16 to displace the channel blocking means 25 from the nonblocking position to the blocking position.
