<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for managing application installation for a mobile device. <P>SOLUTION: This method and the system are provided for installing the applications (10A, 10A' and 10A") in a plurality of mobile devices from a storage source (4, 4A and 4B), and include a step of storing a plurality of applications on the storage sources (4, 4A and 4B) when each mobile device (3) is a different kind. Each application (10A, 10A' and 10A") is designed for a unique type of mobile device. The mobile device (3) is connected to the storage source (4, 4A and 4B), and the type of mobile device is detected.
