A cable connector is provided to enable a coupling and pivoting unit to be coupled with a cam unit so that a cover can move in an insertion and release direction of a cable and enable a wall portion to restrict the movement of the cover in an insertion direction of the cable, thereby improving operability in fixing the cable. A cable connector(1) includes a housing(3), a first contact(4), a second contact(5), and a cover(6). The first contact is installed in the housing. A sheet-like cable(2) is inserted into the first contact. The first contact includes a first contact unit opposite to a front surface of the cable and a coupling and pivoting unit opposite to a back surface of the cable. The second contact is installed in the housing in a side-by-side relation with the first contact. The cable is inserted into the second contact. The second contact has a second contact unit opposite to the front surface of the cable and a wall portion opposite to the back surface of the cable. The cover has a through hole into which the coupling and pivoting unit is inserted and a cam unit which is coupled with the coupling and pivoting unit. The cover is rotatably supported on the coupling and pivoting unit by the through hole and the cam unit. The cover makes the cable be in contact with the contact units when it is pressed. The coupling and pivoting unit is coupled with the cam unit so that the cover can move in an insertion and release direction of the cable. The wall portion restricts the movement of the cover in an insertion direction of the cable.
