A synthetic resin block is provided to improve in appearance by installing in certain order in various places such as a footpath, an open space, the indoor/outdoor bottom, an internal wall and an external wall of a building, etc. A synthetic resin block installed in certain order in various places such as a footpath, an open space, the indoor/outdoor bottom, an internal wall and an external wall of a building, etc. to heighten an aesthetic effect of the installation places comprises a transparent block(100) made of transparent synthetic resins such as transparent acryl resins and provided with insect or plant samples(110) and a rugged surface(101) having irregular scratches(102) to express opaque patterns by permeation, reflection, refraction, dispersion of light, and transparent tempered glass(120) joined to the top of the transparent block, wherein a border member(103) is projected along the circumference on the upper side of the transparent block to protect the lateral circumference of the transparent tempered glass and to improve the binding strength of the transparent block and the transparent tempered glass. A manufacturing method of a synthetic resin block comprises the steps of: forming a bottom layer by preparing a mold opened upward and provided with a rugged bottom and filling up the mold with a transparent synthetic resin solution like transparent acryl resins to the appointed height, and then hardening; arranging insect or plant samples on the upper part of the bottom layer; forming a covering layer by placing a transparent synthetic resin solution on the upper part of the bottom layer to the appointed thickness to cover up the insect or plant samples, and then hardening; putting transparent tempered glass having the circumferential surface which is smaller than the covering layer on the upper side of the covering layer and joining the transparent tempered glass to the covering layer; and filling up a gap between the circumference of the transparent tempered glass and the inside of the mold with a transparent synthetic resin solution, and then hardening, and forming a border member along the circumference of the upper side of the covering layer for protecting the transparent tempered glass and coupling to the covering layer more strongly. |
