A fax transmitting system and a transmitting method thereof are provided to transmit a file which is received from a transmitter terminal to a receiver terminal rapidly by converting the file into an image file for passing through an UMS(Unified Messaging System) and transmitting the converted image file to the receiver terminal, using an MMS(Multimedia Messaging service) server. A fax transmitting system(30) comprises a fax driver providing server(34), and a fax transmitting server(36). The fax driver providing server provides a fax driver for converting a file into an image file for passing through an UMS(Unified Messaging System). The fax transmitting server receives the image file converted from a transmitter as well as receiver information of the transmission object, and transmits the converted image file based on the receiver information via the UMS. The fax transmitting server includes an MMS(Multimedia Messaging service) server(38) for transmitting the converted image file to the receiver terminal through a mobile net.
