PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor driven compressor control device having more simple and inexpensive construction capable of quickly starting a motor driven compressor while actualizing a reduction in the weight and cost of the motor driven compressor, and in labor for its assembly. SOLUTION: A motor for the motor driven compressor is started at a lower rotating speed than in a normal mode, when there is a pressure difference between the inlet side and the outlet side of a compressor body. Thus, even when refrigerant is liquefied on the outlet side of the compressor body, e.g., the motor can be started with such operation executed as to push the liquefied refrigerant out. In this case, the rotating speed of the motor is stepwisely or linearly changed to be increased, whereby the motor is surely started to attain a required rotating speed as early as possible.
