<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container with a lid capable of preventing deformation of a lid plate to the utmost when a large load acts on a central section of a lid body in the container with a lid wherein the lid body is formed by a pair of lid plates rotatably mounted on a side wall. <P>SOLUTION: The pair of lid plates 6 is rotatably mounted on an upper end of a pair of long side walls 4 forming a container body 1 opened upward with a hinge section 16. A first reinforced rib 67 extended approximately parallel to the long side wall 4 and a first load transmission section 71 located in the vicinity of both ends of the first reinforced rib 67 are arranged on the rear surface of each lid plate 6, and a first load receiving section 54 is arranged in the vicinity of an upper end of an inner wall surface of a pair of short side walls 5A and 5B forming the container body 1.
