PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoch-making workpiece holder exhibiting action and effect not demonstrated heretofore. SOLUTION: In the workpiece holder for holding a workpiece 1, a centering part 4 for centering the workpiece 1 by supporting in contact with a reference plane except an outer peripheral surface serving as a worked surface of the workpiece 1 is provided on a base 11 equipped with a workpiece holding part 2 for holding the workpiece 1. The centering part 4 is provided on the base 11, and further, it comprises a plurality of supports 4a provided around the workpiece 1 and structured to come into contact with and move away from the workpiece 1.
