PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting rod, while constructing a rod structure that enables stable support of the rod on the stomach, when resisting the drag of a fish, and which is usable as an extended rod, at casting a fishing tackle. SOLUTION: A butt-side butt section rod 3B, having a gripping part 5 at the butt end, is foldably connected to a tip-side butt section rod 3A provided with a reel seat 4. The tip-side butt section rod 3A is connected to the butt-side butt section rod 3B with a connection hinge 6, that would deter bending of the rod by 180°to the reverse side, and sandwiching the butt axis core with the side existing of the reel 7 which is attached to the reel seat 4.
