MECHANISM OPENING AND SHUTTING DOOR AND SMART CARD READER FOR A SATELLITE BROADCAST RECEIVER

PURPOSE: An apparatus for opening/closing a door and a smart card reader in a satellite broadcasting receiver is provided to be capable of easily extracting and inserting the smart card reader by coupling the card reader to be linearly movable within a main body. CONSTITUTION: A smart card reader(200) is mounted within a receiver main body(100), and is coupled to be linearly movable through an aperture(112) formed in a recess(111) of a front panel(110). A door(300) is hinged to a bottom part of the front panel(110) and is forced toward an opening direction by an elastic unit(310). The door(300) is locked by a locker(400). A rack(210) is fixed to one top side of the smart card reader(200). A gear lever(220) has a gear part(221) engaged with the rack(210), and is mounted on a hinge shaft(113) formed on one side of the recess(111) to move the smart card reader(200). A gear lever driver(500) is communicated with the door(300) to rotate the gear lever(220).
