PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cartridge in which a highly accurate tape reel can be composed by improving shape accuracy, position accuracy, or the like and which is suitable for performing high density recording of an information signal. SOLUTION: A tape reel 3 in which a tape 2 is wound and housed is provided inside of a main body case 1. The tape reel 3 includes a pair of upper and lower flanges 6, 7 formed respectively with a plastic molding, and a cylindrical hub 8 connecting the center parts of both flanges 6, 7, fixes reforming bodies 18, 19 at opposing planes of the pair of flanges 6, 7, and fixes a reform cylinder 20 to the outside of the hub 8. An adjusting screw 30 adjusting shapes of the reforming bodies 18, 19 is screwed in the both flanges 6, 7 and attached and in the hub 8, the adjusting screw 30 adjusting the shape of the reform cylinder 20 is screwed and attached. Respective reforming bodies are formed to a disk form by press-forming a metal material, and a wall surface between attaching holes 22, 24 provided at the center part and the peripheral edge is formed with taper walls 23, 25.
