An implementing method for quantizing encoding a grid vector comprises selecting a new basic codebook in which all point within RE₈ point set are included directly and indirectly, their value in any dimension are less than or equal to 3, and the fourth level hyperspherical points in the basic codebook are entirely odd number point, so that part of the nearest neighbour points are only processed via a corresponding odd number quantizing, and then may be included within the basic codebook.
