PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a frictional contact-conditioning device for an elevator braking device, capable of carrying out burnishing work of a braking piece of a braking device installed in a building. SOLUTION: The frictional contact-conditioning device for the braking device is equipped to a hoist 1 having a drive sheave 4 wound around a suspension means suspending a car, and brakes rotations of the drive sheave by pressing the braking piece 8 against a braking element 5 rotating with the drive sheave. The frictional contact-conditioning device for the braking device comprises an idle turning member 31 detachably equipped between the suspension means and the drive sheave, and idle turning the drive sheave to the suspending means; and a friction control device 32 rotating the braking element while the idle turning member is equipped, and burnishing the braking piece by pressing the braking piece against the braking element.
