PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shielding unit which is capable of keeping an enough shape retainability, being distributed as single merchandise, and being installed into a dust collection bag easily, and to provide a dust collection bag for an electric vacuum cleaner which has the shielding unit installed. SOLUTION: A shielding unit 1 has a structure that a sheet which is provided with: a securing piece having a first opening part 2a communicatable with the dust introducing opening of the collar of a dust collection bag for an electric vacuum cleaner; a cover piece 3 which is connected to one edge of the securing piece via a first folded line and has a second opening part 3a which is communicatable with the first opening part 2a; and a shielding piece 4 having a shielding part 5 which can close the first opening part 2a to the side near to a second folded line and which is connected to the other edge that is right-angled to one edge of the securing piece via the second folded line, and an operation part 6 on which a third opening part 6a which is communicatable with the first opening part 2a to the side far from the second folded line is folded at each folded line and formed in a bag shape with three edges closed by the securing piece and the cover piece 3, wherein the shielding piece 4 is stored with a knob part 6b being out.
