PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb structure having a high opening ratio and thin parting walls. SOLUTION: The honeycomb structure is obtained by arranging a plastically deformable film, which comprises a curable material that cures by an energy ray and is plastic deformation and a surface tension depressant that depresses the surface tension of the curable material, on a substrate having a plurality of recesses, deforming it by the cubical expansion of the gas that exists in the recesses to form a plurality of cells, and then irradiating an energy ray to cause the curing.
