<p>The production of a catalyst for catalytic combustion of hydrocarbon, preferably methane, comprises: providing hexa-aluminate; and grinding the hexa-aluminate to a particle size (D 50) of less than 3 mu m. The production of a catalyst for the catalytic combustion of hydrocarbon, preferably methane, comprises providing hexa-aluminate of formula MO.6Al 2O 3(where M is earth alkali metal and where at least one of the earth alkali metal can be replaced by another metal such as aluminum); and grinding the hexa-aluminate to a particle size (D 50) of less than 3 mu m. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a catalyst for the combustion of hydrocarbon, preferably methane, obtained by the above process; (2) a catalytic burner, preferably for anode exhaust gas of a fuel cell arrangement, comprising a catalyst; and (3) a fuel cell arrangement with a number of fuel cell that are arranged in a fuel cell pack, with an anode opening to feed combustion gas to the anode, an anode outlet for exhausting the burned gas from the anode, a cathode opening for feeding cathode gas and a cathode outlet to exhaust the consumed gas from the cathode, where the anode outlet comprises catalytic burner.</p> |
