An image control apparatus capable of unified control and monitoring is provided to transmit an operating status displayed on a display unit to a remote monitoring room in real time through an optical communication line, thereby enabling a user to check the abnormality of linked components displayed on the display unit without a separate measuring device. An image control apparatus capable of unified control and monitoring includes an unified control unit(10), a display unit(20), an optical communication unit(30), a data bus(40), a character generator(50), a power control unit(60), an environment monitoring unit(70), a power supply unit(80), and a power stabilizing unit(90). The display unit is attached to a rack. The character generator receives an image signal, synthesizes character information with the received image signal, and displays an image synthesized with the character information on the display unit. The optical communication unit is connected to an optical communication unit at a remote place through an optical communication line(31). The unified control unit controls the on/off driving of a photographing unit(110), generates the character information, and transmits the generated character information to the character generator. The power supply unit applies power from an external transmission power source(91). The character generator transmits the image synthesized with the character information to the optical communication unit at the remote place under the control of the unified control unit. The image displayed on the display unit is displayed on a remote display unit linked with a remote optical communication unit(32).
