PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent disconnection of a wiring layer at the concave corner of a level difference portion.

SOLUTION: An active matrix substrate 42 comprises a glass substrate 22, a driver portion 50 provided to project from the glass substrate 22; a level difference portion 53 formed along the surface of the driver portion 50 and the surface of the glass substrate 22; an insulating film 54 disposed on the surface of the level difference portion 53 for compensating the reentrant shape at the level difference portion 53 at least partially; and a wiring layer 37 formed along the surface of the reentrant compensating film 54 and connected with the driver portion 50.
