PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply device capable of keep drive loss of a fuel pump low without causing increase of number of components, and preventing drop of reliability accompanying breakage of oil film in a sliding part of the fuel pump. SOLUTION: The fuel supply device for an engine has a pump mount case 4 covering a fuel pump cam mounted on a side wall of a cylinder head, has a tappet insertion hole 4a formed in the pump mount case 4, has a tappet 7 of the fuel pump mounted on the pump mount case 4 inserted in the tappet insertion hole 4a and abut on the fuel pump cam, and delivers fuel from the fuel pump by reciprocating motion of the tappet 7 in the tappet insertion hole 4a. A case side cooling water passage part 14 communicating to a cooling passage in the cylinder head is formed on the pump mount case 4 as one unit. A water jacket 16 surrounding the tappet insertion hole 4a is formed. The water jacket 16 is made communicate to the cooling water passage 15 in the case side cooling water passage part 14.
