PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To not only carry out the image processing appropriate for the imaging condition of image data but also obtain the desired image processed results. SOLUTION: A CPU 200 reads out an image file GF from a memory card MC and temporarily stores the readout image file GF in a RAM 210. The CPU 200 obtains image information EI from the readout image file GF and determines the noise reduction level based on the ISO speed. The CPU 200 carries out the noise reduction by increasing the noise reduction level if the ISO and shutter speeds exceed a predetermined value. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
