<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal panel which reliably prevents the leakage of unnecessary light from an outer circumferential part of the panel when the liquid crystal panel is irradiated with light from a surface light source. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal panel comprises: a first substrate 3 located on the display surface side; and a second substrate 4 located on the non-display surface side, wherein the first substrate 3 and the second substrate 4 are bonded to each other with a seal material 12, and a recessed groove formed by the first substrate 3 and the second substrate 4 on the outer side of the seal material 12 is filled with a light shielding material 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
