<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-collating device which makes it simple to set a threshold value used for determining similarity between two images. <P>SOLUTION: The image-collating device, which compares a reference image with image data on an inputting image and determines similarity between the images, comprises: an image-inputting part 1 which inputs an inputting image; a template-setting part 2 which sets a desired area in the reference image as a template; a measurement position-setting part 3 which sets an area corresponding to a template in the inputting image as a comparison area; a collation threshold value-setting part 4 which sets a collation threshold value; an image data-collating part 5 which computes a normalized absolute difference value between the template and the comparison area; a collation-determining part 6 which compares the collation threshold value with the normalized absolute difference value and determines similarity between the template and the comparison area; a determination result-outputting part 7 which outputs the result of the determination made by the collation-determining part; and a memory 8 which stores the respective data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
