PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer information recording medium wherein uniformity of thickness of a resin layer is not reduced even after a light curable resin is spin-coated on a substrate and flow of the light curable resin is hardly generated when a stamper is stuck thereto and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: A solution of the light curable resin having low viscosity obtained by dissolving the light curable resin having high viscosity in a volatile solvent is applied over the substrate by a spin-coating method to form the resin layer. The volatile solvent is evaporated during rotational application of the solution of the light curable resin to obtain the resin layer in a gel state.
