A self diagnosis control method in an optical disc system is provided to send an operation error of the optical disc system to a service center in real time and to allow a user to check a problem accurately. A self diagnosis control method in an optical disc system includes a step of storing an operation condition check category of the system as a file(S30,S31); a step of displaying whether to send information on an error generated during operation of the system(S32); a step of sending the stored file to a service center when the information transfer is determined(S33,S34); a step of analyzing error information by the service center and sending solution information to the optical disc system(S35,S36); and a step of displaying the received solution information to a consumer(S37).
