A backlight unit and a button module having the same are provided to enable light emitted from a light emitting device to be reflected by a reflection surface, thereby providing light having uniform brightness over the whole area on a button. In a substrate(312), a through unit(313) is formed. Upper and lower parts of the through unit are opened. In the rear of the substrate, a light emitting device(318) is mounted. A reflection plate(314) is bonded to the rear of the substrate, and recessed inwardly to receive the light emitting device. The reflection plate has a reflection surface(316) for reflecting light, emitted from the light emitting device, towards the through unit. The reflection plate includes a first member and a second member. The first member is coupled with the rear of the substrate and includes a hole corresponding to the through unit. The second member is coupled with the rear of the first member and forms the reflection surface by blocking the hole. |
