HYDROTALCITE PARTICLES, RESIN STABILIZERS COMPRISING THE SAME, HALOGEN-CONTAINING RESIN COMPOSITIONS, AND ANION SCAVENGERS COMPRISING THE PARTICLES

Hydrotalcite particles which are surface-treated with an organic compound having three or more carbon atoms and has a specific surface area of 5 to 150m2/g and in which the conceptual value (x) corresponding to micropores and ultramicropores and the conceptual value (y) corresponding to macropores and macropore volume lie within specified ranges as calculated from the moisture adsorption curve observed in the exposure at 25°C and 50% humidity for 250h. The hydrotalcite particles can capture halogens contained in various resins only in extremely small quantities and thus exert excellent antideterioration effect. Further, the particles in the form of powder or moldings exert at a maximum the function of capturing organic or inorganic anionic compounds contained in solutions without their dissolving in the solutions.
