A digital broadcasting storing method and a digital broadcasting playing method in a portable terminal are provided to store corresponding contents from the start to the end so as to store perfect contents, receive stored contents with an authentication key and play the contents. A digital broadcasting storing method in a portable terminal includes a step of temporarily storing frames of a predetermined channel of service channels of a received digital broadcasting signal in a buffer(S407), a step of playing contents of the channel(S411), a step of storing the frames starting from the start frame of the contents among the temporarily stored frames when a recording input signal is detected(S419) and a step of determining a position of a termination frame to terminate the storing operation(S423).
