A power transmission for heavy machinery equipped with a wet type brake system is provided to allow cooling oil to smoothly flow between the brake system and a planet gear by forming a plurality of oil passages along the circumference of a ring gear member. A power transmission for heavy machinery equipped with a wet type brake system(22) comprises a planet gear system(4). The planet gear system includes a driving shaft(12), a sun gear(14) axially coupled to the driving shaft, a planet gear(18) meshing with the sun gear, a carrier hub wheel(6) inserted around an outer surface of a knuckle housing(10) and supported by a bearing(8), an outer housing(16) and a ring gear member(20). The planet gear comes in contact with an inner surface of a first side of the outer housing. A second side of the outer housing is inserted around the outer circumference of the carrier hub wheel. The ring gear member has a first side coming into contact with an inner side of the planet gear and a second side coupled to an outer circumference of the knuckle housing through a spline. A piston member(28) is installed between the outer housing and a steering system(2). A plurality of oil grooves are formed along the circumference of the ring gear member and the piston member, respectively.
