An article of clothing (10) is provided that is adapted to cover a limb appendage and the joint of that appendage with the limb of a wearer of the clothing (10). A temperature regulating pad (17) is received a retaining pocket (16) in the article of clothing (10), the retaining pocket (16) being disposed in a part (14) of the article of clothing (10) that in use covers the joint. An inner wall (18) of the pocket (16) is operable in use to transmit heat between the temperature regulating pad (17) and the wearer of the clothing (10). The pocket (16) and the temperature regulating pad (17) may have co-operating attachment means (19, 20), and/or the pocket (16) has a closure flap (21). The article (10) may be a glove (10) or sock, particularly for sporting purposes, with the temperature regulating pad (17) providing heat or cooling to the wrist or ankle of the wearer. |
