A stabilization device for vertebra bones and a rod connector therefor are provided to function as a protection member to prevent overload of an adjacent motion segment by being applied to an end of a rigid fixing system for stabilizing a part of the vertebrae. A stabilization device for vertebra bones includes a first rod(1), a second rod, a rod connector(3), a receiving unit(4), and a fixing member(7). The rod connector connects the first and second rods. The receiving unit receives the first rod. The fixing member fixes the first rod inside the receiving unit. The receiving unit has a rod contact surface(4c) of which an outline includes a separation unit(8) from an outline of a surface of the first rod. The first rod is made of elastic material or elastomer material.
