CONDUCTIVE FIBERS AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A conductive fibers and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to lower the manufacture cost with excellent conductive and mechanical properties by coating and heat-treating the silver compound for forming silver coating layer and oxidation prevention layer, and to apply to the various usage. A silver complex compound coating solution is coated on a fiber strand(105) or a fiber bundle(107) for producing a silver complex compound coated fiber. A silver coating layer formed fiber is produced by heat-treating the silver complex compound coated fiber. An oxidation prevention layer is formed on the silver coating layer for producing a conductive fiber. A metal coating layer can be formed on the silver coating layer by an electro-plating or an electroless plating for producing the conductive fiber in place of forming the oxidation prevention layer. The silver complex compound solution is manufactured by reacting the compound or the mixture of a silver compound represented by a formula of AgnX, an ammonium carbamate based compound, an ammonium carbonate based compound, and an ammonium bicarbonate based compound. The n of AgnX is an integer from 1 to 4.
