PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the speed and accuracy of information processing in replacement of ink cartridges while reducing manufacturing costs.SOLUTION: A printer 1 to which a plurality of ink cartridges 10 are mounted includes: a plurality of memory tags 110 each attached to each ink cartridge 10 for storing information on the ink cartridge and transmitting the information via radio waves; a communication module 25 provided to the printer 1 for receiving radio waves transmitted from two or more of the memory tags 110; a shutter 24 disposed between the memory tags 110 attached to the mounted ink cartridges 10 and the communication module 25 for sequentially blocking radio waves transmitted from the memory tags; and a controller 9 for controlling the communication module 25 to receive radio waves from one of the memory tags 110 and controlling the shutter 24 to sequentially block radio waves from the rest of the memory tags 110.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
