<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote conference system, in which remote conference having high presence can be conducted by displaying an image with high contrast, even under bright room environment. <P>SOLUTION: Image information obtained by a communications device 5 through a communications network 7 is projected and displayed on a screen 1 by a projector 3. A light-absorbing portion 13 is provided in the screen 1 and effectively absorbs external light from an illumination device 6, and the like.
