PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that security setting can not be performed by simple operation in a conventional wireless LAN system. SOLUTION: In a wireless LAN system in which an information terminal is connected to a network by a wireless LAN and which comprises an access point including a security setting holding unit and an access point control unit and a wireless LAN card for a terminal attachable to and detachable from the information terminal, the wireless LAN card for the terminal comprises a temporary security setting storage section and when the wireless LAN card for the terminal is mounted in the access point, the access point control unit writes specific security setting previously held in the security setting holding unit into the temporary security setting storage section of the wireless LAN card for the terminal.
