PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structural member capable of being molded at high dimensional accuracy and enhancing bending impact characteristic. SOLUTION: The structural member 1 is formed by working of a planar member, and is uniaxially stretched (Y axis direction in Fig.1). Further, the structural member 1 has a pair of opposed side walls 12, 12 stretching in parallel with the uniaxial direction; and a connection wall 13 stretching in parallel with the uniaxial direction and connecting the pair of side walls. In the pair of side walls 12, 12, a narrow width part a having a narrow opposed clearance and a wide width part b having the wide clearance are alternately formed in uniaxial direction. At least any one of the narrow width part a and the wide width part b exists in a plurality of portions, and the clearance is continuously uniaxially enlarged or contracted.
