<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting apparatus which can prevent effectively the penetration of moisture or oxygen from the joint of the encapsulating member and the base board. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting apparatus 10 comprises a base board 12, a light-emitting device 20 which has an organic electroluminescence layer 18 in a pair of electrodes 14 and 24 which overlie the base board in the thickness direction, extraction wirings 16 and 26 which are formed on the base board and connected with the pair of electrodes of the light-emitting device respectively, an encapsulating member 34 which encapsulates the light-emitting device, and is characterized in that an insulating layer 30 which contains an inorganic oxide is formed at least around the light-emitting device on the base board, and the encapsulating member adheres through an adhesive 32 which is prepared between the encapsulating member and an insulating layer containing the inorganic oxide which is formed around the light-emitting device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
