PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor reducing a computational complexity needed for image processing while reducing jaggy of an image contour.

SOLUTION: The image processor outputs image data of four colors to a display section using display pixels each comprising four sub-pixels. Specifically, a color converting means color-converts image data of three colors into image data of first four colors while maintaining the number of display pixels of the image data of the three colors. A converting means generates image data of second four colors having the same total data amount with the image data of the three colors by applying nearest neighbor interpolation and interpolation to the image data of the first four colors based upon the relationship between positions of sub-pixels of the image data of the first four colors and positions of sub-pixels at the display section. Consequently, an increase in computational complexity can suitably be suppressed and, the jaggy of the image contour can suitably be reduced during four-color reproduction.
