摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration in resolution caused by image compression while lowering response to a motion of a subject by enhancing the detection accuracy of motion compensation at a center part on a screen frame by increasing/reducing a set value during image compression on the basis of distortion aberration characteristic information belonging to a superwide-angle lens and performing image compression so as to quickly track the motion of the subject while the detection accuracy of the motion compensation is lowered at a peripheral part on the screen frame. <P>SOLUTION: In this camera image compression processor, a memory 4c divides an area in a block unit in compression coding processing with respect to a screen frame, and distortion aberration characteristic data of the superwide-angle lens 1 stepped on the basis of a selection range in motion compensation frame prediction is stored in advance in each divided area.
